Description
The ability to annotate protocols, hardware and software items was added some time ago in tickets #1310, #1771 and #1772.
But most other items that use/link to protocols, hardware and/or software never included those items in the result of getAnnotatableParents() which is required in order to be able to inherit annotations downstream.
Here is a list of items using protocols/hardware/software:

- DerivedBioAssay
- Extract
- PhysicalBioAssay
- RawBioAssay
- Sample
