We have tested BASE with Java 7 earlier (#1635), but are still only officially supporting Java 6. Sooner or later we will need to drop official support for Java 6.

Oracle will drop public support for Java 6 in February 2013 (​http://www.oracle.com/technetwork/java/eol-135779.html). I guess this ticket should end up in the next release (BASE 3.3)

Changed compilation options to java 1.7. Compile without warnings against jdk 1.7.
