Description
New is a "generic" CEL data file format, for which BASE Affy import plugin should be updated:

I also found a site which has a lot of CDF (and other) files: http://genplex.co.kr/ftp/Affymetrix/Library/ Could be useful for testing.

If we decide to upgrade to a newer Fusion SDK I think we should skip the modifications we made to the version BASE is currently using. Ok... it is nice to have stream-support, but this is only working for the older text-based CEL files. Files in the binary formats still needs to be copied before we can use them in the Fusion SDK. I don't think there is much reason to keep on modifying the newer Fusion SDK just to get a feature that is not really needed.
But... no work is going to be done on this ticket unless someone can provide us with some test data files in the new format. We currently have files in CEL version 3 (text) and version 4 (binary) formats but not in the generic "Command Console" format.
